Last Day!

My last day at work! Don't get me wrong I love my job but I sure do need a break!

I had a busy weekend! But my points were completely on track even with a lunch out and a Christmas Party. I have only eaten about 2 flex points!

Friday night I decided to shovel the drive way before Trevor got home from work but that turned out to be a bad idea. I pulled a muscle in my back. It hurt like hell! The last time I did this they put me on wicked drugs and it took over a week before I was mobile. But not this time. I heard that it is good to keep moving and do what you can when you pull a muscle. So that is what I did and by yesterday I was feeling much better. The funny thing is it hurts the most after I have been sitting down and I go to stand up. As long as I keep moving I am OK. It is good that it happened on Friday night because I did not have to miss any work outs. I am off to the gym tonight to do 1 hour of cardio total on the bike and elliptical. No kickboxing tonight though, I do not think my back is ready for that. Also, because I am on holidays I will squeeze in an extra work out in tomorrow before weigh in! I am not too sure what to expect at weigh in because of all the food I ate at the pot luck therelast week ;)

Friday night I went to see one of my bestest friends Stace. She and her husband and baby girl live about 7 hours from here so we do not see much of each other. She was down for the weekend at her mothers. I did not get a photo of the three of us (you will have to send me one Stace!) but I did get one with her baby girl. (photo to the right) Isn't she beautiful!

Notice my new pink sweater! I have placed a few new photos on my photos page if you would like to see some of my new clothes! One of these photos is especially for Paulene (I finally did it!) I am slowly starting to like photos of myself!

Oh yes, I have to Congratulate and thank one of my bestest friends Megs. Congratulations Meg on losing 32 pounds. Keep up the good work girl! Also, I wanted to thank you for the honor you bestowed on Trevor this weekend. He could not be more thrilled!

This weekend Trevor and I took our god children, identical twin boys Liam and Dylan (aged 7) to see Chronicles of Narnia. It was an excellent movie and we had a great time!

Also I discovered the best snack for parties. All you do is make bite size fresh pineapple chunks and stick them on a tooth pick with a maraschino cherry. They are no points and people, including children (not to young though, the tooth pick is sharp!) love them! They are delish. This idea came from one of my fellow weight watchers… thanks!

I was experimenting on the weekend with baking and I discovered that the one thing that makes those chewy little chocolate brownies even better is putting a maraschino cherry in the middle! Yum! This does not change the points value, unless you eat the whole pan like Trevor. He eats them faster than I can make them!

I have decided to go easy on myself over the holidays. I am going to work out as much as possible this week and stay on program with my points (except for Thursday…. Oh I am so naughty!) until Christmas eve and then I will give myself a break. No counting points and no working out all week. I imagine I will eat good most of the time anyways but I need a break and I know for a fact I will have a miserable Christmas if I have to say no to everything! I know having a good holiday should not depend on food but this time of year is so food orientated and even though I have been at this for years I still love food! So even if I gain some weight over the holidays I am going to get back on program 100% on Jan 2. My New Years Resolution this year is to become a life time member at weight watchers!

BLAHHH go away you nasty spammers! Why must you spam my guestbook! If you see things that should not be in my guestbook, please disregard them until I can take them off! Today I have gotten like 10 of those nasty little things and I don't have time to remove them every ten minutes! I may have to read all incoming ones before I post them! I just have to figure out how to do that, so please bear with me!

Snowed In

Dec 16 2005 

Holy Shit, we are snowed in! I was able to make it to work and the gym because I live about a block from both! Aren't I lucky! I will have to take a photo of all this snow tomorrow and then post it for those of you who do not get snow. It is a good start to the Christmas holiday season though! It really sucks for driving though. I hope my friend made it to town OK. I am off to see her and her family tonight.

Last night I did 20 minutes on the bike and 30 on the elliptical, I had planned to do more but when I got to the gym my gym bag was empty so I had to walk home and get my clothes and then walk back! I then did day 2 (legs) of my new weight lifting program. I was really sore and tired this morning but I dragged my but out of bed and walked to the gym, in the snow, and I did 30 minutes on the bike at level 11 and 15 minutes on the elliptical at level 12 and then I did day 3 (arms and shoulders) of my new weight lifting routine. So I am done my workouts until Monday, although I may squeeze some walking in this weekend. I love the beautiful snow and all the Christmas lights!

So far I have been on track with my points 100% this week!

I was a bad girl, I snuck a peak at the scale this morning so I could compare it to my lowest weight of 147lbs in the morning, because I am heavier in the evening. Plus the scale at the gym is where I used to weigh. It said 148.5… oooh so close! Sounds good to me though! Seeing the 140's makes me so happy. Although this means I am up half a pound from weight watchers because I am usually 2 pounds heavier in the evening. But this weigh in was before my work out this morning and I will still get a work out in on Monday and an extra one on Tuesday (I am off on holidays) before weigh in. So we will see!

I just have to come to work on Monday and then I am on holidays! Yippee!

On Saturday I want to do some baking and Saturday night we are off to the last Christmas party. Sunday we are taking one of my best friend's identical twin boys for the afternoon to see Chronicles of Narnia! It should be a blast!

Oh ya look up top, I changed my Challenges, Goals and Exeercise buttons! I did not like them. Much better, I think!

Well that about sums it up, I hope to get on this weekend and add a few new things like my weight lifting program.
