Final Weigh '05

HOLY SHIT!!!!

I did it!! I lost three pounds and I got this (picture to the right!) my 50 pounds lost magnet! I also got 10 5 pound stars!

I have now lost a total of 70 pounds!

I almost had a heart attach when my leader Gale said you lost three pounds this week. I cried! I stood there and I started to cry, but then I composed myself before anyone saw because I wanted it to be surprise when she announced it to everyone! About half way through the meeting she started announcing all of the achievements of the week and what she usually does is she has a roll of 5 pound stars and she counts them out 2 at a time and says someone tonight has lost 10, 20 30, 40 50 pounds! Everyone was cheering and she walked over to me and everyone (there is about 15 of us regulars) was so ecstatic! She then told me how well I was doing and told to share my secret. I said to just keep trying! I also told them that I had lost 20 pounds prior to weight watchers and I used to be 217lbs and this magnet represented 70 pounds gone! I then, as I held my magnet with both hands began to cry. One of the girls and my leader gave me hug! It was like getting a Grammy! I would like to thank the following people (I borrowed this from Paulene's site!)

  • Trevor: You are my cheering squad and you are so genuinely proud of me. You help me come back when I get down and cheer me on when I am up! You loved me at 217 and you love me at 147 and everything else in between, thank you sweetie! What did I do to deserve such a fabulous husband! I love you!
  • Gail and all the girls at weight watchers: you guys are my second family and I could not have done it and continue to do it with out your support!
  • My Family, especially my Mom and aunt Wilma. Thanks so much for being my weight watcher's buddies and joining with me and supporting and cheering me on! I would not have gone alone! Also, my mother in law Kerry Thanks for cheering me on!
  • My Friends. To: Stacy, Megan, Paulene, Angie, Wilson, Jody, Anne-Marie and everyone else who has helped me along the way. I thank you for being so supportive and tolerating my eating habits and my highs and lows!
  • And last but not least the huge family I have created of on-line supporters! Thank you so much for continuing to come and read about my life. Just knowing you are all there make me want to succeed!

If I have forgotten anyone, i am sorry, thank you too!

Technically I did not eat any flex points this week because last Tuesdays potluck at weigh in would have been last weeks flex points. I start them over on Wednesday. So I only ate 1 this week. The amazing thing is that yesterday I made short bread cookies (for my father in law!), pumpkin spice cookies (1 point each, yum!), and three kinds of fudge: old fashioned brown sugar, chocolate and Oreo cookies and cream and I only had a few of the low point pumpkin spice cookies (I will post this amazingly easy recipe later). Also I did not make it to the gym on Tuesday. I have no excuse. I did not feel like it! I will not argue about a three-point loss though. I am afraid to get on the scales here at home just in case the ones at weigh in were lying!

Well, I almost made my Christmas goal. I am .1 pounds from my goal. I am going to have to say that I made it! The scale at weigh in round up so I could have been anywhere between 146 and 149.9 and I my lowest ever was 147lbs in the morning and I am 2 pounds more in the evening, so technically I am going into virgin fat! Screw it; I am going to weigh myself… I'll be back in a minute… 145lbs!!!!! In my full flannel pajamas. I am into virgin fat and I weigh less than I ever have!!! Yipppeeee!!!!!! I could not be happier!

This has completely changed my outlook for the holidays. You probably noticed that I went form trying to gain only 1 kg to total freedom over the holidays. Well this has changed my mind; here is the new final plan:

  1. Go out for Pizza only on Thursday, no chocolate and eat very light the rest of the day.
  2. Go to the gym today Thursday and Friday (maybe no weights my back is still sore)
  3. Eat 100% on program today and Friday and all Day Saturday until Christmas eve.
  4. Christmas Eve have what ever I want at the pot luck.
  5. Christmas Day #1: eat good all day and count points at dinner, stay away from carbs and have lots of veggies.
  6. Be on program and count points until Christmas day #2 27 Dec, do the same as Christmas Day #1.
  7. Try to keep on program while staying at in-laws by bringing my main food items like my salad and weigh watchers bread.
  8. New Years Eve, have what ever I would like at Chinese buffet but be good rest of day
  9. Go back to gym on Jan 2 for awesome work out and back on program 110% to get to goal this year!

Alrighty I have been on the computer for 2 hours now and I am supposed to be on holidays! I am off to an appointment at 2:00 and then I am going to the gym.

I hope to get on here and update on next week when I get to my in-laws. I am not promising anything though so if I do not have time to update I will talk to everyone in the New Year!
