I had another baby shower on Saturday at my mother in laws (see more photos below from this shower and my other one). It was wonderful and I had no idea! I was tricked! We got all sorts of stuff including lots of size 1 diapers, bath stuff, a nursery monitor, a diaper bag, a digital thermometer and tons of other stuff! We did not get doubles of anything. So Sunday we went to Wal-Mart and used up the credit we have from returning a few doubles from the first shower and we got a diaper genie, some waterproof pads to use in the bassinette, disposable wipes and a nursing bras. The only things left that we are need are a nursing pillow and things that can wait like a change table and an exercauser!!! Monday Trevor and I put everything out in the living room from both showers and organized it all and we got most of it put away. All her wee shoes are in a line waiting for her. We also went to Home Depot and got Pink paint and some nice wooden handles and redid Trevor's old dresser from when he was a kid. It looks great! I'll post pictures later.

WOWSERS!!! Thank you so much to everyone who came to my showers!!! My wee one is one lucky girl!
 
 
I saw the OB yesterday. I am measuring at 36 weeks which is right on the nose! He did the test for Group B strep which is right on time and we had the "Labor talk" were we discussed things like how will I know I am in labor and what to do if I am in labor. He also said that I will be able to have the baby at the hospital that I wanted because I will be to term on Tuesday. If I were to go into labor early they would have had to send me to the big hospital in the city and some stranger would have delivered my wee girl. At the local hospital I have a really good chance of my OB delivering my baby because he is one of only 2 OBs on call.
At the OB's office my wee one had a bad case of the hiccups! My mother and I sat there and watched my stomach twitch every 10 seconds and then all of sudden the baby would give a good wiggle to get rid of them! I will miss this connection very much!
So, I am officially nine months pregnant. Holy cow where has the time gone? I am done work in 7 days! I really could use some time to relax. My mother brought it to my attention that next month at this time we will have a wee baby! Holy cow!
I gained about 4.5 pounds this week. Yikes! This puts me at up 38.5 pounds! I am trying not to stress about it at this point in time, but it is hard! I swear my belly can not get any bigger and every morning it seems to have grown! My mom says if you watch close enough you could watch it grow! At this point in time I am eating what ever looks good as my nausea has returned! Which apparently is normal at this phase as she is squishing my stomach into my diaphragm! I feel like I could eat everything in site though! Plus I have pretty much stopped working out as I can barely walk the 4 blocks to my work with out having wicked leg cramps, pains in my abdomen and back and feeling down right awful!
I now know what pregnant woman are talking about when they say that they are uncomfortable in their own skin! I can actually feel my skin stretching as we speak! Especially if my wee one decides to stick out her bum or a foot!
Oh I got some good news a few days ago, my baby sister and her boyfriend are having a wee boy!!! Yup that is right our little ones first cousin will be a boy. We are still waiting to find out what cousin number 2 will be, but we are thinking pink!
I now have my appointments weekly, so I'll keep ya'll posted! I think we might get the internet at home, so I should be able to keep posting after next week.
